The BIRKENSTOCK Clog Kay has two straps, one of which is fixed to the shaft. The second strap can be folded down by the hidden rivet on the side and worn as needed either on the shaft or as a supportive heel strap.
This ESD version was specially developed for people working in the microelectronic field or with high frequency technology. ESD stands for Electro Static Discharge. These shoe models actively provide a permanent gentle discharge to their wearer. The antistatic elements in the sole compensate for potential electrical voltage differences between humans and the work environment by permanently "grounding" the feet and can be identified by the circular yellow emblem. Warning: The ESD range is values up to 34 MOhm, so it does not have an insulating effect!
The upper material is made of the skin-friendly and durable synthetic material Birko-Flor®. The shoe is tested according to EN ISO 61340.

Birko-Flor® is a skin-friendly, tear-resistant and easy-care synthetic material used exclusively by BIRKENSTOCK.
Inner sole: Leather cover sole
The skin-friendly, flexible leather cover sole gently nestles against the foot and adapts to its contours. The open-pored and thus particularly breathable surface enables a pleasant foot climate even during heavy physical activity.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a renewable raw material obtained from the bark of the cork oak. The natural product is heat insulating and has very good cushioning properties.
Outsole: EVA anti-static
Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) anti-static is a high-quality, particularly lightweight, elastic synthetic material with extremely good cushioning and antistatic properties.
